Absolutely. The programme is designed for complete beginners through to advanced learners. Beginner courses start with the Arabic alphabet, basic sounds, and fundamental greetings before building towards reading, writing, and conversation. There is no prior knowledge required.
Which form of Arabic will I learn - Modern Standard or dialect?
The primary focus is Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which is the formal language used in education, media, and literature across the Arab world. I also offer conversational dialect modules for students who want to develop everyday speaking skills. We discuss your goals in the initial consultation to determine the best approach.
How often are lessons and how long is each session?
Sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes long, held 1-3 times per week depending on your schedule and goals. The programme is fully flexible, and we can adjust frequency and duration to match your availability and learning pace.
Can I take lessons online from another country?
Yes. A large proportion of my non-native speaker students study entirely online from countries around the world, including Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. Online sessions use interactive video platforms with digital whiteboards and shared resources, providing the same quality as in-person sessions.
How quickly will I be able to hold a conversation in Arabic?
Most dedicated students can engage in basic everyday conversations within 8-12 weeks of consistent study. Reaching intermediate conversational fluency typically takes 6-12 months depending on weekly study hours and practice outside of lessons.
