Discover the beauty of the Arabic language through immersive, personalised programmes designed for learners at every level. From your first word to confident fluency.
Learning Arabic as a non-native speaker is one of the most rewarding linguistic journeys you can undertake. As the fifth most spoken language in the world, Arabic opens doors to rich literature, vibrant cultures, career opportunities, and a deeper connection to over 400 million speakers worldwide.
With over 20 years of teaching Arabic to international students at institutions including the German University in Cairo, Kalimat Institute, and Hamad bin Khalifa University, I have refined a teaching approach that makes Arabic accessible, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to learn.
My method balances the four core skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Each lesson integrates cultural context so that you are not just learning a language but understanding the world it belongs to. Whether you are a diplomat preparing for a posting, a professional working in the Arab world, a heritage speaker reconnecting with your roots, or simply someone fascinated by Arabic culture, the programme is tailored to your specific goals.
Lessons use a communicative approach, meaning you will be using Arabic actively from the very first session. Grammar is taught in context rather than in isolation, and every new concept is reinforced through conversation, reading activities, and creative exercises that keep learning dynamic and memorable.

Absolutely. The programme is designed for complete beginners through to advanced learners. Beginner courses start with the Arabic alphabet, basic sounds, and fundamental greetings before building towards reading, writing, and conversation. There is no prior knowledge required.
The primary focus is Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), which is the formal language used in education, media, and literature across the Arab world. I also offer conversational dialect modules for students who want to develop everyday speaking skills. We discuss your goals in the initial consultation to determine the best approach.
Sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes long, held 1-3 times per week depending on your schedule and goals. The programme is fully flexible, and we can adjust frequency and duration to match your availability and learning pace.
Yes. A large proportion of my non-native speaker students study entirely online from countries around the world, including Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia. Online sessions use interactive video platforms with digital whiteboards and shared resources, providing the same quality as in-person sessions.
Most dedicated students can engage in basic everyday conversations within 8-12 weeks of consistent study. Reaching intermediate conversational fluency typically takes 6-12 months depending on weekly study hours and practice outside of lessons. I provide a realistic timeline during our initial assessment based on your specific goals.
